Ho Chi Minh was born on May 19th, 1890 in Sen village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An. His birth name was Nguyen Sinh Cung, he was a revolutionary, founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam, one of the people who laid the foundation and led the struggle for independence and territorial integrity for Vietnam in the 20th century. He was an international communist soldier and one of the 100 most influential people in the 20th century worldwide.

He wrote and read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2nd, 1945 at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, and was President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam during 1945 -1969, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Labor Party during 1951-1969.

President Ho Chi Minh died at 9:47 AM on September 2th, 1969 (July 21 of the lunar calendar) in Hanoi. He is a "great son of the heroic Vietnamese nation, an outstanding leader of the international Communist movement and the national liberation movement", he is the crystallization of "the people and the embodiment of aspiration to fight for freedom and for the persistent struggle of the Vietnamese people ".
