Relic site Bach Dang Giang at the foot of Phuong Hoang mountain in Minh Duc Township, Thuy Nguyen district.
There is a green space where combines the beauty of the heaven, the land and water, where echoes the soul of mountains and rivers and is upgraded by the hands of human. It is the historical relic site Bach Dang Giang.
The relic site not only marks the 3 famous battles of the 3 heroes King Ngo Quyen, King Le Dai Hanh and Tran Hung Dao but also dedicates the Great hero Ho Chi Minh. There are temples in dedication to the Buddha and Mother Goddesses, which shows the long-lived religions of the Vietnamese, as well as some other temples in dedication to famous people in Vietnam’s history in the relic site.
Construction process of relic site
The relic site is considered as the construction of mutual love and hope. Bach Dang Giang relic site has become a priceless spiritual destination for 10 years.
Temple “Linh tu Trang Kenh” in dedication to Duc Thanh Tran was built in 2008.
The Temple “Trang Kenh vong de” in dedication to King Le Dai Hanh was built in 2009
“Trang Kenh Truc Lam pagoda” in dedication to the Buddha and a traditional museum were built in 2010.
Temple in dedication to King Ngo Quyen was built in 2011.
Victory pillar was built in 2012.
The project of expanding Bach Dang Giang national relic site was ratified by the Government in 2014.
The Temples in dedication to President Ho Chi Minh and Mother Goddesses were built in 2015.
The main gate, guest house and parking lot were built in 2016.
Victory Square and Trần Hưng Đạo Park were built in 2017.
Roads and waterway roads to the relic site and Bao Quoc Garden were built in 2018.
The relic site is at the foot of Phuong Hoang mountain (Phoenix mountain), overlooking Bach Dang river. The relic site seems to lean its back on the mountains and stand in the middle of a peaceful and immense space. It is a prime location. Bach Dang river to the East, Luu Kiem- Luu Ky mountains to the West, Yen Tu - Dong Trieu to the North and U Bo mountain to the South are compared as the Dragon, the Tiger, the Phoenix and Turtle guarding 4 sides of the relic site.

From the main gate, tourists will pass through a free large parking lot of thousands of meters to the guest house which could holds thousands of people. They could take a rest and grasp general information of the relic site here.
The second gate leads to the Exhibition house where displays valuable objects of the battles on Bach Dang River such as old stakes and documents.
The next destinations are the Mable garden of millions of years old and Victory Pillar which is made from a solid ruby stone.
Worship system
The temple in dedication to King Ngo Quyen was built in 5 months. It is a nice temple where has preserved many valuable objects manipulated by skilled artisans.
Temple “Trang Kenh vong de” in dedication to King Le Dai Hanh is only 100m far from the pillar. The temple was built in only 92 days and nights (equivalent to the number of days he commanded the 6 main battles).
Temple “Linh từ Tràng Kênh” is the first construction of the relic site. The construction started on 7th October 2008 (9th September on the lunar calendar) in celebration of 800th birth anniversary of Tran Hung Dao. Great events such as the stamp offering festival on 14th and 15th Lunar January, Death anniversary of Trần Tran Hung Dao on 20th lunar August and the temple’s inauguration ceremony on every 14th lunar January.
Walking through the sacred well, climbing up the stones to Phoenix mountain, visitors arrive at the Truc Lam Trang Kenh Pagoda in dedication to the Buddha and bodhisavattas.
Trang Kenh Mother Goddesses Temple in dedication to Mother goddesses is the place for visitors to pray for health, national peace and property.
The temple in dedication to President Ho Chi Minh was built in 100 days. It is the first Uncle Ho worshiping temple in Haiphong and in the North Eastern region.
Passing through Tran Hung Dao Park and Victory Avenue, tourists arrive at Bao Quoc garden, where many valuable trees are growing. The last destination is Victory Square. The 3 large statues of Ngo Quyen, Le Dai Hanh and Tran Quoc Tuan stands out in this magnificent square.
A stake ground of Bach Dang was found out in late 2019 in Cao Quy field, Lien Khe commune. 27 stakes, 27 historical evidences, will further connect historical pages of Bach Dang. The flows of Bach Dang river are holding many priceless evidences to study the hidden historical pages.
