Phuong Luu temple


On the morning of the March 31st (March 15th of the lunar calendar), Dong Hai 1 ward organised a traditional festival at Phuong Luu temple. Attending the festival were leaders and many local people.

Phuong Luu temple is a relic of historical value, spiritual culture and this is the pride of people in Dong Hai ward in general and the people of Phuong Luu village in the past and residents of Phuong Luu street currently.

Like many relics in the city, Hai An district, Phuong Luu temple is one of the places where worships King Ngo Quyen, who had a lot of merits in chasing Nam Han enemy on the historic Bach Dang river in 938.

Built in the Mau Tuat year, the 14th Vinh Thinh year (1717), this place worshiped King Ngo Quyen as a saint of village, the structure of temple likes that Dinh letter, it consists of 5 front rooms and 3 harem rooms, the temple was made by ironwood following the style of art architecture in the Le - Trinh period.

After nearly 300 years of existence, although it has been restored many times but due to the time and climate, the temple has been seriously degraded.

In 2015, with the consent of the city, Hai An district and with the policy of socializing cultural activities to meet the needs of spiritual cultural activities of the local people, Dong Hai I ward was actively propagandize and mobilize people, organizations, individuals and businesses to restore the house.

After nearly a year of active propaganda and advocacy, businesses and local people have built and restored the house in its original state with a total budget of nearly VND 4 billion. This budget is completely from the source of socialization, in which Tan Hong Co., Ltd has supported all funding for building and restoring the new Phuong Luu temple in its original state.

The organization of traditional festivals to meet the needs of spiritual cultural activities is blessing, praying for peace, while also bringing meaning to the deep national tradition.

Becoming the convergence point, the destination of hearts always towards the origin, inheriting and promoting good cultural values, thereby enhancing the sense of solidarity, mutual help among families family, clan and social community.
