Standing in the center of the Mable garden, Victory pillar was manipulated from a large ruby stone from Nam Truong Son quarry. The pillar is 5.5 meters high, weighs about 100 tons and has the cross section of 1.5 m2. The pillar is 4 sided rectangular. 108 words were carved on the pillar.
7 words “Giang san vượng khí Bạch Đằng thâu” were carved on the front side (It means “ the souls of the River and the Mountains are gathering in Bach Dang”).
3 words were carved on the left side of the pillar. It says about the feats of arms of King Ngo Quyen. He created the stake ground in the first Bach Dang Victory in 938.
33 other words were carved on the right side of the pillar.It says the feats of arms of King Le Dai Hanh, who plays a key role in 2nd Bach Dang Victory.
45 words were carved on the backside of the pillar. It says the feats of arms of Grand Prince Tran Hung Dao, who defeated Mongolian invaders.
